Professional baseball returned to Sussex County when the Miners began play in 2015. Skylands Stadium first opened in 1994 for the New York-Penn League’s New Jersey Cardinals. The complex is 60 miles northwest of downtown Manhattan. In addition to baseball, Skylands Stadium annually hosts a Jack O'Lantern Experience in October and Christmas Light Show & Village in November-December along with numerous weekend events.
