Duly Health and Care Field is in the heart of downtown Joliet, not far from the intersection of I-55 and I-80 and 40 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Slammers is a nod to the Joliet State Prison which was used in “The Blues Brothers” movie. Duly Health and Care Field opened for the Joliet Jackhammers in 2002, with the Slammers arriving for the 2011 season
