TUCKER SMITH WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK

JULY 29, 2024 - Tucker Smith of the Trois-Rivières Aigles has won Pitcher of the Week.

Trois-Rivières Aigles' right-handed pitcher Tucker Smith put on a show against the Tri-City ValleyCats on Thursday, limiting his opponent to just three hits in eight shutout innings. Smith's six-strikeout performance was dominant, sitting down the first 12 batters he faced while not giving up an extra-base hit.

Tucker Smith is the second member of the Aigles to bring home a weekly award following LP Pelletier during the week of June 9th, and the first pitcher. He is in the midst of his third season with Trois-Rivières and his second as a full-time starter. Smith currently holds the sixth-best ERA in the Frontier League at 2.84.
