TJ SCHOFIELD-SAM WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
AVON, OH – As the final two weeks of the regular season dawn, teams are beginning to secure playoff spots. The Québec Capitales clinched a postseason berth last week thanks in part to Player of the Week T.J. Schofield-Sam. The infielder hit .545 (12-for-22) and drove in eleven runs for the Capitales.
Québec Capitales infielder T.J. Schofield-Sam posted a 1.402 OPS and tallied three extra-base hits at the bottom of the order. He reached base five times on Wednesday, recording three hits and drawing a pair of walks. Schofield-Sam also recorded four RBIs and scored three runs in the Capitales' 16-2 win over the Sussex County Miners.
Schofield-Sam again reached base five times on Friday, going 4-for-5 at the plate with a walk and driving in another run in a Québec win. He picked up his first home run of the season on Saturday amid a 4-RBI day.
Schofield-Sam first joined the Capitales in early July after being acquired from the American Association's Winnipeg Goldeyes. The Ontario native spent the previous six seasons within the Athletics organization, playing as high as Double-A with the Midland RockHounds in 2025.
