TEAGUE CONRAD WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD

AVON, OH - Right-hander Teague Conrad spun an absolute gem for the Gateway Grizzlies on the road in Mississippi Thursday night. The second-year pro tossed eight innings, allowing just one unearned run on three hits while striking out five to complete a road sweep of the Mud Monsters. Conrad’s outing gave him his first win of the season. The Grizzlies currently stand in first place in the West Division.

Teague Conrad, another Frontier League draft pick, has become the de facto ace of the Gateway staff after the departure of 2024 Frontier League Strikeout Leader Deylen Miley. The 23-year-old native of Schaumburg, Illinois was selected 28th overall in the 2024 Frontier League Draft. Since his signing, he has had several sparkling moments, including a near no-hitter against the Lake Erie Crushers in the league’s return to Springfield. After two starts, Conrad is tied for fifth in the league in strikeouts and is sixth in earned run average.
