SANTINO ROSSO WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
Infielder Santino Rosso has been a key cog in the New York infield since joining the team in early June. This past week, his value was on display both offensively and defensively. At the plate, he went 11-for-21 across six games, hitting two home runs, four doubles, and driving in eight runs. His most impressive game came in the Sunday rubber match against the Ottawa Titans: he went a perfect 4-for-4, hit a homer and collected three RBIs. His weekly stat line came out to .524 AVG/.560 OBP/1.000 SLG.
Rosso began the season with the Tri-City ValleyCats and joined the Boulders after the first month of the season. Since joining New York, he is hitting .302 with six home runs and 39 RBIs. While he has split time all around the infield, he has become a mainstay at third base and the perfect complement to all-star shortstop Austin Dennis. Rosso is the fourth Boulder to win a weekly award, joining Dennis as the second Player of the Week
