OSCAR CAMPOS WINS PLAYER OF THE WEEK AWARD
Oscar Campos is enjoying another successful season behind the dish for the Tri-City ValleyCats. This past week exemplified his all-star level consistency. In five games, he went 11-for-18 with two doubles, three home runs and eight RBIs; he also walked five times and did not record a strikeout. Campos started off the week hot, hitting two home runs against the New Jersey Jackals on Tuesday and driving in five. His splits for the week ended at .611 AVG/.708 OBP/1.222 SLG.
Campos was named a Frontier League All-Star for the second time this season. His batting average with the ValleyCats is over .300 for the third consecutive year, and Tri-City is currently in a playoff position at the time of this release. Campos was previously named Player of the Week in 2024 during the week ending June 10. He is the second weekly award winner for the ValleyCats this season and is the first position player to bring home the honor.
