Gateway clinched the season series over Windy City with a 9-4 rubber game victory, and Lake Erie played spoiler by taking the series against playoff hopeful Schaumburg for their first series win since sweeping Washington back on July 11th. Joliet, Québec, New Jersey, Brockton and Trois-Rivières also picked up wins on Sunday.

SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 3 @ LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 5 – The Lake Erie Crushers (36-52) played spoiler on Sunday at ForeFront Field, taking home a huge series win against the playoff hopeful Schaumburg Boomers (49-41). Lake Erie came away with a 5-3 victory and their first series win since they swept Washington in a doubleheader on July 11th.

MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 23 @ OTTAWA TITANS 14 – Club offensive records fell Sunday afternoon as the Mississippi Mud Monsters (36-53) set new marks for runs scored with 23, hits with 22 and hits by an individual player as Tevis Payne II amassed six on the way to a 23-14 victory over the Ottawa Titans (50-39) to secure a series split.

QUÉBEC CAPITALES 12 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 7 – The Québec Capitales defeated the Sussex County Miners 12-7 on Sunday after noon at Stade Canac.

FLORENCE Y'ALLS 8 @ EVANSVILLE OTTERS 11 – The Evansville Otters (56-34) used a big-time seventh inning to come back from down five runs and sweep the Florence Y’alls (50-39) on Sunday afternoon, 11-8.

TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 6 @ NEW JERSEY JACKALS 6 – The Jackals just barely were able to come away with a victory on Sunday afternoon as they kept Tri-City from scoring in the sudden death 11th inning.

GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 9 @ WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 4 – The Gateway Grizzlies dazzled on both sides of the baseball, getting out to a sizable early lead en route to a 9-4 win over the Windy City ThunderBolts on Sunday afternoon, taking the rubber game at Ozinga Field and clinching the season series seven games to five as a result.

WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 3 @ JOLIET SLAMMERS 7 – The Joliet Slammers claimed the rubber game Sunday at home by a final of 7-3, fueled by a four-run third inning while holding Washington without a multi-run inning, as the Wild Things end the week at 2-4 and, with Evansville's sweep of Florence, see their Central division lead trimmed to two games with 12 remaining.

BROCKTON ROX 7 @ NEW YORK BOULDERS 5 – The Brockton Rox overcame early deficits of 1-0, 2-1, and 4-2 to defeat the New York Boulders 7-5 in Sunday night's series finale at Clover Stadium.

TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 4 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 0 – The Trois-Rivières Aigles closed out the series finale with a dominant 4-0 victory over Down East on Sunday afternoon at Historic Grainger Stadium, holding the Bird Dawgs to just three hits despite a brilliant six shutout innings from Drew Henderson.
