Brockton snapped Florence’s 11-game winning streak with a walk-off win in the 10th, while Schaumburg celebrated a walk-off victory in front of a franchise-record crowd of 8,203. Ottawa continued their strong stretch with a 10-2 win, Washington got eight shutout innings from Kobe Foster, and Down East and Joliet also earned series-opening victories, while Québec swept their doubleheader against New Jersey.



DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 7 @ LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 2 –  Stephen DiTomaso drove in four runs, including a two-run triple in a four-run sixth inning, as the Down East Bird Dawgs cruised to a 7-2 victory over the Lake Erie Crushers at ForeFront Field Friday night, picking up a series-opening win and improving to 33-43 on the season.

FLORENCE Y’ALLS 10 @ BROCKTON ROX 11 – The Brockton Rox snapped the Florence Y’alls’ 11-game winning streak with a walk-off sacrifice fly in the 10th inning, outlasting Florence 11-10 in a back-and-forth battle.

TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 2 @ OTTAWA TITANS 10 – The Ottawa Titans (44-31) continued to roll, picking up a 10-2 win over the Trois-Rivières Aigles (27-49) on Friday night, powered by stellar pitching and offence.

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 0 @ WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 7 –  In his second game back from the injured list and first home game since July 11, All-Star Kobe Foster picked up right where he left off. Foster ended the night completing eight shutout innings with 10 strikeouts in the Wild Things 7-0 victory over the Evansville Otters, which was also highlighted by a big night at the plate from Jeff Liquori for the second night in a row.

JOLIET SLAMMERS 5 @ GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 2 – The Joliet Slammers scored three runs in the 10th inning to pull away from the Gateway Grizzlies for a 5-2 victory in Friday night’s series opener at Arsenal BG Ballpark.

MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 6 @ SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 7 – Kellum Clark coaxed a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to cap a wild finish as the Schaumburg Boomers returned home from a nine-game roadtrip to the largest crowd in franchise history (8,203) and celebrated a 7-6 victory over the Mississippi Mud Monsters on Friday night.
