Down East, Gateway, Tri-City, Joliet, and Evansville also picked up victories on Saturday.
DOWN EAT BIRD DAWGS 8 @ OTTAWA TITANS 1 – Two pitchers made their Bird Dawgs debuts, combining for six innings, and Kalae Harrison went four-for-four to lead the Down East Bird Dawgs to an 8-1 victory over the Ottawa Titans at Ottawa Stadium Saturday night, evening the series at one game apiece and setting up a rubber match Sunday afternoon.
WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 8 @ NEW YORK BOULDERS 6 – The Washington Wild Things used seven runs in the back third of the game that followed a controversial call in the sixth that allowed New York to take a 5-1 lead to take the middle game from the jaws of defeat and win their 40th of the season, 8-6. New York stranded the tying and winning runs on base in the ninth, with Max Folkman saving Landon Ginn and picking up his first pro save by getting the final out.
MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 3 @ FLORENCE Y’ALLS 6 – The Florence Y’alls (30-28) defeated the Mississippi Mud Monsters 6-3 on Saturday night to win the three-game series. The win also ensures that Florence won the season-long nine-game series over Mississippi.
GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 7 @ LAKE ERIE CRUSHER 0 – The Gateway Grizzlies shut out the Lake Erie Crushers 7-0 on Saturday night at ForeFront Field behind eight shutout innings from Ben Harris (6-4) and timely hitting, drawing even in the weekend series at one game apiece.
TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 11 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 5 – The Tri-City ValleyCats offense continued to pound out runs, this time in deuces, as they overcame an early deficit to pick up a 11-5 win at Quebec on July 18.
JOLIET SLAMMERS 6 @ SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 3 – After the Joliet Slammers (26-32) had given up an early lead to the Schaumburg Boomers (27-31) in Friday’s matchup, the Slammers never lost their lead on Saturday and beat the Boomers 6-3.
WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 0 @ EVANSVILLE OTTERS 5 – The Evansville Otters (34-23) took advantage of great pitching to take the second game of the series against the Windy City ThunderBolts (29-28) on Saturday night, 5-0.

NEW JERSEY JACKALS 8 @ TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 2 – The Jackals and Aigles played 11 innings on Saturday continuing a game from June 25th and playing the originally scheduled game in seven innings. The Jackals offense was very much alive in both as they won game one 14-4 and game two 8-2.
