Washington closed out a 7-2 road trip with its sixth straight win and second consecutive sweep, while Trois-Rivières and Québec secured series victories at home. Evansville won its fourth straight series, Schaumburg got a complete-game shutout from Cole Cook, and Lake Erie and Joliet also earned wins, while Down East and New York split Thursday’s doubleheader.

SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 4 @ LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 5 – The Lake Erie Crushers (23-31) scratched and clawed their way to a salvaged 5-4 win against the Sussex County Miners (25-26) on Thursday night in front of a great crowd at ForeFront Field.

TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 16 @ TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 7 – The Trois-Rivières Aigles defeated the Tri-City ValleyCats 16-7 on Thursday night, winning the series at The Joe.

BROCKTON ROX 6 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 8 – The Québec Capitales beat the Brockton Rox 8-6 on Thursday night, winning the series at home at Stade Canac.

WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 12 @ FLORENCE Y’ALLS 5 –  The Washington Wild Things, who hold first place in the Central Division of the Frontier League, will return home with a 7-2 road trip and six-straight wins to end it as they toppled Florence 12-5 in the series finale Thursday to complete their second sweep in a row. 

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 4 @ GATEWAYS GRIZZLIES 2 – The Evansville Otters (32-19) won their fourth straight series, taking game three of the series against the Gateway Grizzlies (24-27) on Thursday night, 4-2.

MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 3 @ JOLIET SLAMMERS 8 - The Joliet Slammers secured the series victory, defeating the Mississippi Mud Monsters 8-3 in the rubber match at Slammers Stadium.

WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 0 @ SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 7 – Cole Cook faced just four batters over the minimum and tossed a complete game shutout as the Schaumburg Boomers blanked the Windy City ThunderBolts 7-0 to win two-of-three in the mid-week series.

NEW YORK BOULDERS 7 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 8 - Colby Backus delivered a walk-off two-run single to complete a dramatic bottom-of-the-ninth rally in the resumed suspended game before the New York Boulders took the seven-inning nightcap 7-5 in the game that followed, leaving the Bird Dawgs with a 2-1 series lead at 25-29 after a wild evening at Historic Grainger Stadium.
