WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 8 @ NEW JERSEY JACKALS 5 - The Washington Wild Things took home an 8-5 win in the series opener against the Jackals Friday night at Hinchliffe Stadium by getting a combined eight hits from Cole Fowler and Andrew Czech, while Czech belted two homers and drove in six and seeing Kobe Foster twirl a quality start in his return from the injured list.

TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 4 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 5 - Stephen DiTomaso homered to lead off the first and delivered the go-ahead RBI single in the eighth as the Down East Bird Dawgs snapped their eight-game losing streak with a gutty 5-4 victory over the Tri-City ValleyCats at Historic Grainger Stadium Friday night, improving to 29-41 and ending their longest skid of the season.

BROCKTON ROX 5 @ OTTAWA TITANS 6 - A massive five-run first inning powered the Ottawa Titans (39-30) to a 6-5 victory over the Brockton Rox (32-38) on Friday night, striking first in the opener of the series.

GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 2 @ FLORENCE Y'ALLS 8 - The Florence Y’alls (39-30) toppled the Gateway Grizzlies 8-2 on Friday Night, led by Nathan Lawson on the mound and Brett Blomquist at the plate.

LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 5 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 19 - The Miners secured the 19-5 victory behind a dominant offensive performance. 

TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 9 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 7 - The Trois-Rivières Aigles (25-45) used a four-run ninth to rally their way past the Québec Capitales (46-23) on Friday night.

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 6 @ WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 1 - The Evansville Otters (41-27) had a great all-around performance as they took game one of the four-game series against the Windy City ThunderBolts (33-36) on Friday night, 6-1.

NEW YORK BOULDERS 3 @ JOLIET SLAMMERS 4 - Patrick Ward delivered a two-out, two-strike, walk-off single to lift the Joliet Slammers (27-42) over the New York Boulders (39-32) on Friday.

SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 11 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 8 - Mississippi native Kellum Clark, who grew up less than 10 miles from Trustmark Park, blasted a three-run walk-off homer in sudden death as the Schaumburg Boomers posted an 11-8 victory over the Mississippi Mud Monsters on Friday night.
