Bruno Stadium while the Québec Capitales clinched another series victory behind a four-home run performance on Thursday night. Elsewhere, Windy City outlasted Washington in a sudden-death thriller, Lake Erie powered past Mississippi to take the series, and the New Jersey Jackals earned a rain-shortened victory in Trois-Rivières after Game 2 of the doubleheader was suspended. NEW JERSEY JACKALS 6 @ TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 0 – The Jackals and Aigles were set to play a double header on Thursday in Trois-Rivières, but the rain became a problem in game two.
NEW YORK BOULDERS 11 @ TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 2 – The Boulders completed their first-ever three-game sweep at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium (aka “The Joe”) in Troy, NY, leading the Tri-City ValleyCats (15-24) wire-to-wire in a rain-shortened 11-2 win. The game was halted in the top of the seventh inning and did not resume.
BROCKTON ROX 5 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 3 – The Brockton Rox scored twice in the final two frames to pull away for a 5-3 victory over the Down East Bird Dawgs at Historic Grainger Stadium Thursday night.
WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 5 @ WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 5 – The ThunderBolts came from behind to force extra innings and defeated the Washington Wild Things 5-5 in a marathon that ended in sudden death at EQT Park Thursday night.
SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 2 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 7 – The Sussex County Miners (18-22) took down the Schaumburg Boomers (20-21), 7-2, on Thursday night at Skylands Stadium.
OTTAWA TITANS 2 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 7 – Four homeruns from the Québec Capitales clinched the series finale against the Ottawa Titans, 7-2.
LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 11 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTER 5 – The Lake Erie Crushers (19-23) scored crooked numbers in each of the first three innings on Thursday night to bury the Mississippi Mud Monsters (16-26) early. The Crushers won 11-5 and took the third game of the six-game set in Pearl.
