The second half of the Frontier League season is underway, with Washington using strong pitching to top New York and Windy City rallying late for a dramatic win over Evansville. Brockton, Ottawa, Lake Erie, Florence, New Jersey, and Schaumburg also picked up victories, while Tri-City and Québec split a doubleheader at Stade Canac.
GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 4 @ LAKE ERIE CRUSHER 8 – The Lake Erie Crushers (26-32) defeated the Gateway Grizzlies (26-31) 6-4 at ForeFront Field to kick off the second half. The Grapes took the lead early, and refused to give it up.
WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 3 @ NEW YORK BOULDERS 1 – The Washington Wild Things opened the Frontier League’s second half with a 3-1 win at New York on Friday night with a strong pitching night from the combination of Jack Brodsky, Michael Foltz Jr., Mack Anglin and Landon Ginn. Brodsky turned in 5.2 innings of one-run ball (the run was unearned) for his second win of the year and his career.
DOWN EAT BIRD DAWGS 5 @ OTTAWA TITANS 8 – Following a four-day pause, the Ottawa Titans (30-26) kicked off the second half with a bang, defeating the Down East Bird Dawgs (26-32) by an 8-5 on Friday night.
SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 1 @ BROCKTON ROX 3 – A three-run seventh frame from the Brockton Rox secured another comeback at Campanelli, as the home squad bested the Sussex Miners 3-1 in game one of the series.
MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 6 @ FLORENCE Y’ALLS 8 – The Florence Y’alls (29-28) defeated the Mississippi Mud Monsters 8-6 on Friday night.
NEW JERSEY JACKALS 10 @ TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 2 – The Jackals pitching staff dominated as the offense provided run support on the way to a 10-2 Friday night against the Aigles in Trois.
JOLIET SLAMMERS 3 @ SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 3 – The Schaumburg Boomers returned from the four-day Frontier League All-Star break with a victory, blasting three homers in a 9-3 decision over the Joliet Slammers at Wintrust Field on Friday night.
WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 8 @ EVANSVILLE OTTERS 7 – Daryl Ruiz hit an eighth-inning grand slam and Jared Beebe brought home the winning run with a sacrifice fly in the ninth as the ThunderBolts defeated the Evansville Otters 8-7 at Bosse Field Friday night.

TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 9 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 0 – Tri-City starting pitcher Adam Maher nearly no-hit the hottest team in the Frontier League to lead ValleyCats into the second half of the 2026 season with a 9-0 win in the first game of a doubleheader at Quebec on July 17.
TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 5 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 7 – The Québec Capitales take back the night after dropping game 1 of the doubleheader against the Tri-City ValleyCats, winning game 2 5-7 at Stade Canac on Friday night.
