TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 8 @ TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 7 – The Tri-City ValleyCats rallied with runs in the sixth and seventh, two in the eighth, and three in the ninth to top Trois-Rivieres, 8-7, on August 15.
BROCKTON ROX 0 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 8 – The Down East Bird Dawgs managed just two hits and were shut out 8-0 by the Brockton Rox at Campanelli Stadium Saturday night, evening the series at one game apiece and setting up a rubber match Sunday afternoon to close out the two-week road trip with a chance to still claim the series.
NEW JERSEY JACKALS 6 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 7 – In a game the Miners needed to have to keep up in the division and playoff race, they came from behind to steal the second game of a pivotal three game home set against the Jackals with a 7-6 final at Skylands Stadium.
SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 3 @ FLORENCE Y’ALLS 4 – The Florence Y’alls (48-34) walked off the Schaumburg Boomers 4-3 on a wild pitch on Saturday night.
WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 5 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 10 – The Mississippi Mud Monsters (32-50) erupted for 10 runs while wearing special pink jerseys as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Night at Trustmark Park, downing the Washington Wild Things (56-27) by a 10-5 final Saturday evening.
NEW YORK BOULDERS 4 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 2 – The Boulders had no hits or runs against the Québec Capitales until Norris McClure mashed a game-tying solo homer with two outs in the top of the sixth inning, and the visitors went on to win the middle game of the series 4-2 on Saturday night at Stade Canac.
JOLIET SLAMMERS 12 @ WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 6 – The Joliet Slammers took advantage of 16 free passes from Windy City pitching on Saturday night, defeating the ThunderBolts 12-6 at Ozinga Field.
OTTAWA TITANS 5 @ GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 6 – The Gateway Grizzlies jumped out to five runs in the first frame of Saturday night’s ballgame at Arsenal BG Ballpark and then held on for a 6-5 wire-to-wire win over the Ottawa Titans, clinching the weekend series.
LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 11 @ EVANSVILLE OTTERS 9 – The Lake Erie Crushers (33-48) defeat the Evansville Otters (50-33) in an 11-9 thriller on Saturday night at Bosse Field in one of the more ridiculous games you’ll ever see. Both teams surrendered the lead several times each, however the Grapes emerged victorious thanks to a three-run homer by a familiar Evansville face.
