The Tri-City ValleyCats earned a series win over Schaumburg, Sussex County outslugged Trois-Rivières, Lake Erie rallied past Mississippi, and Washington walked off Joliet to split its four-game set. NEW JERSEY JACKALS 5 @ OTTAWA TITANS 4 - The Jackals were stymied by Ky Hampton across the first six innings but found their way with a big seventh to win 5-4 on Sunday afternoon and take the series in Ottawa.

 

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 16 @ FLORENCE Y’ALLS 9 -  The Evansville Otters (27-16) exploded offensively in the late frames to take the series against the Florence Y’alls (23-20) on Sunday, 16-9.

 

GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 9 @ WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 5 - The Gateway Grizzlies took the series against the Windy City Thunderbolts on Sunday afternoon at Ozinga Field, ending the weekend with a 9-5 wire-to-wire win.

 

BROCKTON ROX 2 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 4 - In a feel-good finale, Cam Cotter signed with the Bird Dawgs and took the mound hours later while Mike Hansell also made his debut, combining for 7⅔ innings of two-run ball to lift the Bird Dawgs to a 4-2 victory over the Brockton Rox at Historic Grainger Stadium Sunday afternoon, giving Down East a much-needed win heading into a road trip to New Jersey.

 

JOLIET SLAMMERS 9 @ WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 10 - The Washington Wild Things earned a hard fought 10-9 victory over the Joliet Slammers on Sunday evening to earn a split of the four-game series against Joliet, and a split of the eight game, week-long homestand at EQT Park, outlasting the Slammers with a walk-off single by Antonio Monroy.

 

SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 4 @ TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 7 -  The Tri-City ValleyCats picked up a solid 7-4 win over the visiting Schaumburg Boomers in front of 1,936 fans who also enjoyed the Collector Takeover Sports and Pokémon Card Show at The Joe on June 28.

 

NEW YORK BOULDERS 2 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 0 - The Boulders got a first pitch home run from 2B Santino Rosso, and their pitching staff did the rest on Sunday night at Stade Canac, with eight hurlers combining for a five-hitter in a 2-0 win as New York completed its first-ever three-game sweep on the home turf of the Québec Capitales.

 

SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 12 @ TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 10 - The Sussex County Miners defeated the Trois-Rivières Aigles on their home turf 12-10 on Sunday afternoon.


LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 13 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 10 - The Lake Erie Crushers (20-25) were in the driver’s seat, then heartbroken, then on top of the mountain in an asinine 13-10 victory over the Mississippi Mud Monsters (18-27) on Sunday.
