Four teams — Down East, Québec, Joliet, and Schaumburg — scored double-digit runs in Saturday victories. The Capitales led the way with an 18-run showing, while Schaumburg was close behind at 15 runs.

GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 4 @ FLORENCE Y'ALLS 6 - The Florence Y’alls (40-30) won game one of the scheduled doubleheader over Gateway by a final score of 6-4. Game two was postponed and will be made up as part of another doubleheader Sunday, starting at 11 AM ET.

BROCKTON ROX 2 @ OTTAWA TITANS 9 - The Ottawa Titans (40-30) opened August with a commanding 9-2 win over the Brockton Rox (32-39) on Saturday night, powered by three long balls and stellar pitching.

LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 4 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 7 - The Sussex County Miners took game two of their three-game series versus the Lake Erie Crushers, where a Sussex County sixth inning that drove in five runs was the deciding factor in the 7-4 Miners win. 

WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 8 @ NEW JERSEY JACKALS 3 - Behind a three-RBI night for Connor Peek, who kick-started a late offensive surge for Washington, the Wild Things took the middle game in Paterson, 8-3 over New Jersey, winning the series in the process.

TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 7 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 12 - Colby Backus drove in four runs, and the Down East Bird Dawgs pulled away with a four-run seventh inning to defeat the Tri-City ValleyCats 12-7 at Historic Grainger Stadium Saturday night, winning their second consecutive game and improving to 30-41 on the season.

TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 7 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 18 - The Québec Capitales (47-23) scored 17 runs over the first four innings of their game on Saturday, and ended the day with ten extra base hits in an 18-7 win over the Trois-Rivières Aigles (25-46).

NEW YORK BOULDERS 8 @ JOLIET SLAMMERS 10 - In a game where both teams had one inning of immense scoring, the Joliet Slammers (28-42) had a bigger scoring round to win 10-8 against the New York Boulders (39-33) on Saturday.

SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 15 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 5 - The Schaumburg Boomers used a pair of six-run innings to open August with a fourth win in the series against the Mississippi Mud Monsters on the road Saturday night by a 15-5 final.

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 1 @ WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 6 - Ramon Rodriguez allowed only three hits over seven innings as the Windy City ThunderBolts cruised to a 6-1 win over the Evansville Otters at Ozinga Field Saturday night.
