LOCATION BEAUPORT ACQUIRES TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES

TROIS-RIVIÈRES, QC - (translated from French) A page of history is being written on May 14, 2025, for the Trois-Rivières Eagles! The company Location Beauport becomes the majority owner of the Trois-Rivières organization!

"Today is a great day for the Trois-Rivières Aigles franchise and Location Beauport! With this transaction, we firmly intend to elevate the Aigles to the highest levels, both athletically and administratively, within the Frontier League. And not only at the professional baseball level, but also for the entire baseball ecosystem in the region.

Location Beauport has been involved in sports for several years and we were looking for a way to do more. That's exactly what we're going to do by purchasing the Trois-Rivières Eagles," says Philippe Tremblay, shareholder of Location Beauport, a company specializing in tool rental.

Prior to the transaction, Groupe Vertdure and Côté-Réco each held 50% of the team's shares. "We would like to warmly thank Groupe Vertdure and Côté-Réco, who have done a tremendous job as owners of the Aigles over the years. They have kept the franchise going while never losing sight of their love of baseball," said team president René Martin. "We are in a very good position today, and to get here, it took the contribution of many people who believed in the project: the City of Trois-Rivières, the business community, the fans, a healthy league, a growing baseball ecosystem, and, above all, owners who believe in it," added Mr. Martin, while emphasizing that Côté-Réco will remain a major sponsor of the team following the transaction.

By acquiring the Trois-Rivières Aigles, Location Beauport comes with a well-established game plan to grow the professional baseball franchise established in Trois-Rivières since 2013.

"We want to provide the organization with a solid structure to ensure the long-term development of baseball in Mauricie. We know that Trois-Rivières is an excellent baseball community, and that is why we are committed to putting the best resources in place to offer fans and partners a high-level organization, both in terms of baseball, partnerships and community involvement," added Mr. Tremblay.

Among the priorities, we note the importance of maintaining ties with already well-established business partners in addition to developing new ones in order to rally as many regional stakeholders as possible behind the team. Furthermore, Mr. Tremblay dreams of seeing a synthetic surface appear at Quillorama Stadium. And he has no intention of keeping this project at the dream stage.

"I believe it has now become essential for an organization of the level of the Trois-Rivières Aigles to invest in the best possible playing surface. Many benefits would result from such an investment. In addition, all baseball stakeholders in Mauricie would benefit from a synthetic surface, not just the Aigles' professional team," insists Mr. Tremblay, while raising the possibility of adding a dome in the future, like at Canac Stadium in Quebec City.

On this subject, Location Beauport will continue and even improve its ties with the Junior Eagles, the AA Eagles structure, and all of minor baseball in Mauricie. "We want to take the sense of belonging to the Eagles to another level, and it is by working hand in hand with baseball stakeholders in Mauricie and elsewhere in Quebec that we will achieve this. We also want to democratize the use of the stadium so that it serves the entire community."
