Evansville Otters outfielder LG Castillo ended his week with a 1.448 OPS and five extra-base hits in a six-game series against the Down East Bird Dawgs. He recorded a ninth-inning, pinch-hit double on Wednesday for his first hit of the week.
Castillo scored three runs while going 3-for-6 at the plate on Thursday. After an off day on Friday, Castillo returned to the Otters' lineup on Saturday with a perfect, 5-for-5 day. He tallied a pair of doubles and scored two runs in a win. Castillo logged another three hits — including a triple — on Sunday to conclude the regular season.
Castillo is in his first season with the Otters. He played for the American Association's Gary SouthShore RailCats from 2022 to 2025, and the Washington Wild Things in 2022.
