KYLE MOORE WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD
AVON, OH – Ahead of their matchup in this week's Wild Card Round, the Schaumburg Boomers claimed this season's final Pitcher of the Week award. Right-hander Kyle Moore earned the honor after pitching six scoreless innings.
Schaumburg Boomers right-handed pitcher Kyle Moore delivered six shutout innings across three relief outings this week. Moore made his first appearance on Tuesday in a win against the Florence Y'alls, allowing one hit and no walks over two scoreless innings.
Moore next appeared in mop-up duty in a 9-2 loss against the Washington Wild Things on Friday, striking out two in a perfect eighth inning. He pitched again on Sunday, delivering three shutout innings while the Boomers trailed. Schaumburg later took the lead and won, clinching the Midwest Division.
Moore is in his second season with the Boomers. He re-signed with Schaumburg in March after pitching two games for the team in 2025. Moore also pitched in one game for the Pioneer League's Boise Hawks in 2025 after graduating from Missouri Southern that year. He is a native of Streamwood, IL, which borders Schaumburg to the west.
