FRONTIER LEAGUE LAUNCHES VENEZUELAN RELIEF FUND THROUGH PROJECT HOPE

AVON, OH – In the wake of the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24, the Frontier League has launched the Frontier League Venezuelan Relief Fund through Project HOPE to provide critical humanitarian assistance to those impacted by the disaster.

The back-to-back 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes caused widespread destruction across northern Venezuela, leaving communities devastated and placing additional strain on an already fragile healthcare system.

As home to many players, umpires, and members of the baseball community with deep ties to Venezuela, the Frontier League stands in solidarity with those affected.

Frontier League teams are joining together to raise funds through Project HOPE, a nonprofit global health and humanitarian organization that works to improve access to healthcare and respond to emergencies around the world. In Venezuela, Project HOPE has been providing critical support since 2019 and is now deploying assessment teams, assisting health facilities with emergency and trauma care, and mobilizing additional medical resources to help communities impacted by the earthquakes.

Fans, partners, and supporters are encouraged to contribute to the Frontier League Venezuelan Relief Fund. Donations will help Project HOPE provide emergency medical care, mental health support, shelter, clean water, sanitation, and other lifesaving resources for families affected by the earthquakes.
