GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 9 @ WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 4 - The Gateway Grizzlies got a dominant performance on the mound from Lukas Veinbergs (1-0), with the fourth-year veteran allowing one run over seven innings while tying his career-high with 10 strikeouts in a 9-4 victory over the Washington Wild Things at EQT Park on Saturday night. With the win, the Grizzlies advance to the Midwest Conference Finals, sweeping the best-of-three Wild Card series two games to none.
TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 4 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 3 - The Tri-City ValleyCats (2-0) defeated the Sussex County Miners (0-2) 4-3 on Friday at Skylands Stadium in Game 2 of the Wild Card Round. The ValleyCats won the best-of-three series against the Miners, and have advanced to the next round of the playoffs: the Atlantic Conference Finals.
