GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 2 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 5 - As the lights came on over Trustmark Park for the first time in 2026, Preston Johnson was lights-out. The right-hander returned to the state of Mississippi and carved up eight Gateway batters across six scoreless innings, leading the Mississippi Mud Monsters (1-0) to a 5-2 victory over the Gateway Grizzlies (0-1).
WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 3 @ WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 6 -The Windy City ThunderBolts scored six runs over their final two innings to defeat the Washington Wild Things 6-3 on Opening Night at Ozinga Field Thursday night. It was the Bolts’ eighth straight win in a home opener.
FLORENCE Y'ALLS 0 @ EVANSVILLE OTTERS 5 - The Evansville Otters (1-0) threw a combined no-hitter on Opening Night against the Florence Y’alls (0-1), taking the season opener 5-0.
BROCKTON ROX 6 @ NEW YORK BOULDERS 5 - The Brockton Rox rolled into the 2026 season leading off with a victory Thursday night over the New York Boulders; final score of opening night was 6-5 at Clover Stadium. The back and forth contest saw the Rox rally with three runs in the top of the eighth to put them over the edge.
