WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 6 @ BROCKTON ROX 1 - Oscar Serratos homered for the third straight game and Buddie Pindel threw six strong innings as the ThunderBolts claimed the opener of a three-game series from the Brockton Rox 6-1 at Campanelli Stadium Friday night.

NEW JERSEY JACKALS 8 @ TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 4 - The New Jersey Jackals spoiled the ValleyCats' Independence Day celebration by taking them down 8-4 at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium on Friday.

QUÉBEC CAPITALES 9 @ NEW YORK BOULDERS 12  -On a night that C Jason Agresti set the team record with a 23-game hitting streak, the New York Boulders lit up the 4th of July with their own supply of offensive fireworks, slugging past the Frontier League-leading Québec Capitales, 12-9, for their third straight win in the opener of a three-game series at Clover Stadium.

FLORENCE Y'ALLS 12 @ JOLIET SLAMMERS 3 -The Florence Y'alls  crushed the Slammers 11-2 on Fourth of July for a series-opening win.

WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 1 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 2 - The Mississippi Mud Monsters came out on top of a 2-1 Independence Day pitchers' duel against the Washington Wild Things at Trustmark Park.

OTTAWA TITANS 4 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 3  -In a tight series opener, a leadoff solo blast from Jake Sanford in the ninth inning propelled the Ottawa Titans (20-27) to a massive 4-3 win over the Sussex County Miners (31-17) on Friday, earning their sixth win in their last seven games.

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 8 @ SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 9 -The Schaumburg Boomers treated a sold out crowd of 8,054 to a walk off win over the Evansville Otters, celebrating Independence Day with a 9-8 victory.

LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 2 @ GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 1 - It takes 27 outs to win a baseball game. On a Fourth of July Friday Night in Sauget, the Lake Erie Crushers (25-21) used up 26 of theirs before stunning the Gateway Grizzlies (29-19) in extra innings by a score of 2-1.

TROIS-RIVIERES AIGLES 12 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 6 - On Independence Day at Grainger Stadium, the Down East Bird Dawgs saw a tight game unravel late as the Trois-Rivières Aigles erupted for 10 runs in the eighth inning to hand the Bird Dawgs a 12-6 loss.
