Washington opened their series in Brockton with a 9-2 win behind Anthony Brocato’s three-homer night, while Windy City scored eight unanswered to roll past Gateway. New Jersey, Florence, Tri-City and Schaumburg also picked up wins, while New York took down Evansville in Sudden Death. Ottawa swept their doubleheader with Sussex County, and Québec at Trois-Rivières was postponed.

WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 9 @ BROCKTON ROX 2 - On a day where Kelvin Perez made the longest start for the Wild Things since June 20 going 7.2 innings of two-run ball, it was Anthony Brocato who snatched the biggest highlight of the day, homering three times in a game for the second time this season (and second time for the franchise in team history), and driving in seven to match a franchise record for a single-game. Brocato’s big day and Perez’s great start paced Washington in a 9-2 victory to open the series in Brockton. It’s Washington’s 10th-straight road victory.

LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 0 @ NEW JERSEY JACKALS 3 - The Jackals continued their winning ways on Tuesday afternoon with a 3-0 win over the Lake Erie Crushers at Hinchliffe Stadium.

JOLIET SLAMMERS 3 @ FLORENCE Y'ALLS 6 -  The Florence Y’alls (36-30) defeated the Joliet Slammers 6-3 on Tuesday night, led by some spectacular pitching and two homers from Hank Zeisler.

TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 9 @ DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 2 - The Tri-City ValleyCats broke through with four runs in the top of the sixth and rolled to a 9-2 win down in North Carolina over the Down East Bird Dawgs on July 28. 

WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 8 @ GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 1 -  The ThunderBolts scored the final eight runs of the game to beat the Gateway Grizzlies 8-2 at Arsenal BG Ballpark Tuesday night.

SCHAUMBURG BOOMERS 13 @ MISSISSIPPI MUD MONSTERS 4 - The Schaumburg Boomers drew a franchise record 16 walks in recording a 13-4 win over the Mississippi Mud Monsters on Tuesday night, kicking off a nine-game roadtrip with their fifth consecutive victory away from Wintrust Field.

NEW YORK BOULDERS 6 @ EVANSVILLE OTTERS 6 -  The Boulders rallied from 3-1 down after the first inning and beat the Evansville Otters 6-6 in sudden death (11 innings) Tuesday night at Bosse Field.

SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 0 @ OTTAWA TITANS 1 -  Playing their second doubleheader in less than a week, the Ottawa Titans (37-29) took the split on the night against the Sussex County Miners (31-35), dropping game one 6-2 and taking game two by a 1-0 final.
