WINDY CITY THUNDERBOLTS 7 @ GATEWAY GRIZZLIES 3 - Michael Sandle hit two home runs and drove in five as the ThunderBolts took the opener of a three-game series from the Gateway Grizzlies 7-3 at Arsenal BG Ballpark Friday night.

NEW JERSEY JACKALS 2 @ JOLIET SLAMMERS - The Joliet Slammers won their fifth straight on Friday night with a 4-2 victory over the New Jersey Jackals at Slammers Stadium.

BROCKTON ROX 4 @ SUSSEX COUNTY MINERS 3 - Derek Bender went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run and three RBIs, leading the Brockton Rox to a 4-3 victory over Sussex County on Friday night at Skyland Stadium.

EVANSVILLE OTTERS 4 @ FLORENCE Y'ALLS 5  - The Florence Y'alls walked off the Evansville Otters on Friday night, 5-4, to open the three-game series.

OTTAWA TITANS 9 @ TROIS-RIVIÈRES AIGLES 3 - Opening August, the Ottawa Titans (36-34) won their third in a row with a 9-3 victory over the Trois-Rivières Aigles (28-42) on Friday.

LAKE ERIE CRUSHERS 3 @ WASHINGTON WILD THINGS 1 - Jordan DiValerio worked a quality, going 6.2 innings and allowing only two runs, while Tommy Caulfield went 3-for-5 with four RBI to propel the Wild Things over the Lake Erie Crushers in a tight divisional race.

TRI-CITY VALLEYCATS 4 @ QUÉBEC CAPITALES 3 - The Tri-City ValleyCats (40-27) defeated the Québec Capitales (47-23) 4-3 on Friday at Stade Canac. Tri-City has won five consecutive games against Québec. The ‘Cats are now a season-high 13 games above .500.

DOWN EAST BIRD DAWGS 1 @ NEW YORK BOULDERS 9 - The New York Boulders improved to 10-2 since the Frontier League All-Star Break, rolling past the Down East Bird Dawgs, 9-1 at Clover Stadium on Friday night, and grabbing sole possession of their division lead for the first time this season.
