CANADIAN RELIEVER LOGAN HOFMANN RETURINING TO TROIS-RIVIÈRES
First joining Trois-Rivières at the end of the season in the summer of 2023, Canadian reliever and former Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Logan Hofmann will be back in the Aigles' bullpen in 2024!
A native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Hofmann played three seasons in affiliated baseball. He was also a 5th round pick by the Pirates during the 2020 amateur draft.
Last summer with the Aigles, the 24-year-old right-hander had 12 strikeouts in 13.2 innings of relief work on the mound. During his career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, he maintained a 5.22 ERA and totaled 134 three strikeouts in 129.1 innings on the mound. He particularly excelled in the Florida State League in 2021 with the Bradenton Marauders, posting a 3.59 average and 103 strikeouts in 82.2 innings.
Hofmann's signing joins that of outfielder Louis-Philippe Pelletier, first baseman Dalton Combs and pitchers Osman Gutierrez and Didier Vargas for the 2024 season.
The Aigles will begin their 11th season in their history – their 3rd in the Frontier League – on May 10, 2024 when they visit the Sussex County Miners. As for the home opener at Stade Quillorama , it is scheduled for May 17, 2024 against the newest member of the circuit, the New England Knockouts.
