BUDDIE PINDEL WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD

Right-hander Kevin “Buddie” Pindel carried the Windy City ThunderBolts to victory over the Washington Wild Things on Wednesday evening. During his August 6 star, he allowed only one unearned run while striking out four across eight full innings. Pindel’s efforts earned Windy City the series victory over the reigning West Division champions and gave him his sixth win of the 2025 campaign.



Pindel has been a diamond in the rough for the ThunderBolts over the past two seasons. He was the ERA champion of the Frontier League in 2024 and is the current wins leader for the Bolts. This award will be the first weekly award for Buddie in his Frontier League career. He is the second Windy City pitcher to win a weekly award this season and the third ThunderBolt award winner overall.
