BOULDERS CELEBRATE "HALL OF FAME" DAY
Pomona, NY – The New York Boulders are proud to announce the induction of their inaugural Hall of Famers. The four (4) member class of 2026 was honored Sunday, August 23, with plaques affixed to the permanent display installed along the first base concourse at Clover Stadium:
Shawn Reilly: The co-founder and former team president was a driving force behind bringing professional baseball to Rockland County. His vision led to the establishment of the franchise in 2011 and the development of Clover Stadium, creating a premier destination for baseball and community events. Under his leadership, the Boulders quickly became one of the Can-Am League’s model franchises, highlighted by the 2014 league championship and consistent on-field success. Reilly’s commitment to fan experience, community engagement, and organizational excellence helped build a lasting connection between the team and the region.
Jamie Keefe: Served as Rockland Boulders manager from 2013 through 2018, becoming the winningest skipper in franchise history (344 regular season victories) and guiding the team to its first championship as the Boulders captured the 2014 Can-Am League title while reaching the playoffs in each of Keefe’s final five years. Jamie was a two-time Manager of the Year award recipient, known for his steady leadership and sustained success as he helped shape the Boulders into one of the league’s premier franchises.
Stephen Cardullo: A key contributor for the Rockland Boulders from 2013 through 2015, ‘Dullo provided the lineup with steady production and versatility. During his time in Pomona, he had a career batting average of .299, and his standout 2015 season – batting .332 with 9 HR, a franchise record 34 doubles, 76 RBI, a .518 slugging percentage, and .928 OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) – launched him into the history books as the first Boulder to play Major League Baseball when he joined the Colorado Rockies in 2016.
Justin Topa: The righthander pitched for the Rockland Boulders in 2017 and 2018, setting the franchise record for wins in a season when he went 14-3 in 2017 with a 3.50 ERA and 80 strikeouts over 110 2/3 innings, consistently delivering quality starts and giving the Boulders a strong presence on the mound. Topa’s performance established him as one of the Can-Am League’s top hurlers and a key contributor as the Boulders reached the championship round of the playoffs. He became the first Boulders pitcher to reach MLB, earning a September call-up with the 2020 Milwaukee Brewers and earned his first career win, vs. the New York Yankees, while a member of the Seattle Mariners in 2023.
