ARLO MARYNCZAK WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD
Tri-City’s Arlo Marynczak claims the Pitcher of the Week award after shutting down the Down East Bird Dawgs on Saturday at Grainger Stadium. The second-year right-hander went the distance for the ValleyCats, tossing a complete-game shutout behind 12 strikeouts to only one walk. He only allowed three hits in the 12-0 shutout victory, his third win of the season.
Marynczak is in his second year with the ValleyCats. He sits atop the Tri-City pitching rotation after an impressive rookie campaign where he cumulated a 3.67 ERA in 22 appearances (10 starts). The Delmar, New York native has been even better in his sophomore season; his 2.13 ERA currently ranks first on the team and eighth-best in the Frontier League. This is his second time winning the Pitcher of the Week award, doing so previously in the last week of the 2024 regular season.
