ANTHONY ESCOBAR WINS PITCHER OF THE WEEK AWARD

Right-hander Anthony Escobar wins Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete-game shutout against the Windy City ThunderBolts on Friday. Escobar only allowed four hits in the series-opening victory for the Crushers, striking out two and walking none. He showed himself a master of inducing soft contact against Windy City while the Crusher offense lifted the team to victory. The win maintained Escobar’s perfect record, which now stands at 3-0.

Escobar is well-known around the league for his solid pitching. A Frontier League All-Star in 2024, he has opened 2025 no less impressive. He currently owns a 0.72 ERA across his four starts and leads his team in both ERA and wins. He is the first Crusher pitcher to win a weekly award since left-hander Jack Eisenbarger last June.
