ALEC CRAIG CLAIMS FRONTIER LEAGUE ALL-TIME WALKS RECORD

The Schaumburg Boomers are proud to announce that infielder Alec Craig has become the Frontier League’s all-time career leader in walks, reaching an incredible 421 career free passes and setting a new league record.

Craig, a cornerstone of the Boomers organization since 2021, has built a reputation as one of the toughest outs in independent baseball. The left-handed hitter has consistently ranked among the league leaders in on-base percentage and walks throughout his career, combining elite plate discipline with a relentless approach at the plate.

The Sicklerville, New Jersey native entered the 2025 season already climbing the Frontier League record books and finished the year second all-time in league history with 403 career walks. After returning to Schaumburg for the 2026 season, Craig continued his steady march toward the top spot before ultimately surpassing the previous record holder, Eric Williams, and establishing a new benchmark with walk number 421.

Over six seasons with the Boomers, Craig has become one of the most accomplished players in franchise history. His ability to reach base, set the tone at the top of the lineup, and provide leadership both on and off the field has made him a fan favorite and one of the defining players of the Boomers era.

Craig’s record further cements his place among the greatest players in Frontier League history and adds another milestone to an already remarkable career in Schaumburg.
