2025 FRONTIER LEAGUE PREVIEWS: QUEBEC CAPITALES

The Québec Capitales enter the 2025 season fresh off their third consecutive Frontier League Championship. With each of its first three seasons as a part of the league ending as league champs, Québec only needs to ask one question: why can’t it happen again?

2024 saw the Capitales have a number of successes, both on and off the field. In addition to their third consecutive championship, the team was near the top of the league in total and average game attendance — and that in a year where every club in the Frontier League increased its draw. Québec also recently saw two of its pitchers, Tyler Bryant and Ryan Sandberg, sign with the Milwaukee Brewers.

As for 2025, the Capitales have already announced the return of several players that were a part of previous championships, including outfielders Justin Gideon and Marc-Antoine Lebreux, infielder Kyle Crowl and Championship Series hero Anthony Quirion.

The reigning Organization Of The Year’s talent search was global this offseason, including a Japanese workout from which two pitchers were signed to contracts by manager Pat Scalabrini.

The vibrant environment of Stade Canac has been no small part of the Capitales’ success. Last season, the club sold out 21 of its 48 home games — 16 in a row at one point — and has been attributed to one of the best baseball/party atmospheres around the league.

An exciting 2025 season for the Capitales will kick off on May 9th for a road series against the New Jersey Jackals. The club’s home opener on May 20th will see it host the New York Boulders as the start of a six-game homestand.
