2025 FRONTIER LEAGUE PREVIEWS: OTTAWA TITANS
The Ottawa Titans have risen from a Frontier League expansion team just a couple of years ago to a consistent playoff contender. Their 2024 included multiple playoff wins, several annual awards, and a growing connection between Canada’s capital city and the game of baseball.
Ottawa Stadium, the league’s largest capacity ballpark, was part of the league’s overall growth in total and average attendance last season. The Titans’ draw increased 20 percent from the season prior and 30 percent from their inaugural season in 2022.
This came as no surprise, as the Titans have shown themselves to be consistent winners. The club went won an organizational-best 18 games in June and won 11 straight home games from June through early July. The Ottawa pitching staff ended the Frontier League regular season on a high note with a 29-inning streak of not allowing a run from August 23-25.
The Titans sent three players to the 2024 Frontier League All-Star Game, including 2024 All-Frontier League Third Baseman AJ Wright. The team recently announced that Wright was signed to an extension and will return in 2025. The excitement on the field for such a special season was broadcast out by Davide Disipio, who was named the 2024 Frontier League Broadcaster of the Year.
After announcing an extension for field manager Bobby Brown, fans can be sure to expect another year of playoff baseball in the capital city. Ottawa is one of only two teams in the now-Atlantic Conference to have multiple playoff berths since 2022.
The Titans have made a great impact on the Ontario community with their Field Of Dreams Foundation, which rose and distributed more than $38,000 in support of 22 children’s charities in 2024. The Foundation focuses on raising funds to offer children opportunities to enjoy baseball, other sports, and other community-based programs and events.
The Titans’ promotional schedule is set to be released on March 24th and will include a handful of great returning themes as well as a few surprises for new and returning fans. Ottawa will open the season on the road against the Down East Bird Dawgs on May 9th. To keep up to date with any updates on the team and to purchase tickets, visit ottawatitans.com.
