JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy take on the Washington Wild Things for the second series at home this week beginning on Friday, August 11.

The Joliet Slammers host their second and final Princess Night of the season at 7:05 PM on Friday night. Anyone dressed as a princess or prince will receive a voucher for a free soft drink, redeemable at any concession stand at Slammers Stadium.  Princesses provided by Magic, Music and More will be at the ballpark for fans photos and autographs. Following the game, there will be a special themed fireworks show presented by Lumina Fireworks.

Star Wars Night will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 6:05 PM.  The evening will feature Star Wars characters from the 501st Midwest Garrison available for photos and autographs. Anyone who dresses as a Star Wars character will receive a free soft drink voucher on entrance to the game.  There will be a special Star Wars themed fireworks show following the game.

On Sunday afternoon, fans can bring their pets to Slammers Stadium for Pet Day. Crosstown Exotics will be at the stadium with arachnids, reptiles, amphibians and more for fans to experience. First pitch is set for 1:05 PM with gates opening at 12:05 PM.  Any pets that are on leashes or in a carrier are welcome to attend! Post-game, kids can run the bases presented by Andy’s Frozen Custard and there will be full team autographs.
