River City starting pitcher Ray Hanson has had his contract purchased by the Los Angeles Angels. He is the third Rascal signed by a Major League organization this season, with the other two being RHP Dane Stone (White Sox) and IF Matt Reida (Rays).

Hanson held a 4-1 record on the season and had been dominant for the Rascals’ rotation. Manager Steve Brook “wishes him the best” and is “thankful to have been a part of his professional journey.”

A Cypress College and University of Central Florida alumnae, Hanson had spent parts of the past two seasons with the Rascals, also spending time in 2013 with Rio Grande Valley of the United League. The Long Beach, California native now returns to a Los Angeles area organization.
