(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) – The Evansville Otters are proud to announce their week-long extravaganza of events at Bosse Field for this upcoming June 11 – June 15 homestand.
The homestand begins with Deaconess Nursing Home Night on Wednesday when the Otters start a series against the Gateway Grizzlies. It is $1 hot dog night all evening at Bosse Field! The doubleheader is sponsored by Carson’s Brewery with two games set for seven innings each. Otters General Manager Joel Padfield is guaranteeing a doubleheader sweep. If the Otters sweep the doubleheader, each fan will receive one ticket to a future Otters game this season. First pitch is 5:35 pm CDT.
The series concludes on Thursday, June 12 on FC Tucker Emge Realty Night. It is Budweiser Thirsty Thursday with 16 ounce drafts for $2 and 32 ounce drafts going for $4. The game starts at 6:35 pm CDT.
Evansville begins a three game weekend series on Friday, June 13 when they play the Rockford Aviators. It is ESGR Military Appreciation Night with many different must-sees. There will be old military vehicles on the front lawn of Bosse Field, a color guard presentation, and the Rolling Thunder Motorcycles will be on display near home plate prior to first pitch. The Otters will also be wearing special Military themed jerseys that will be auctioned off to the highest bidders at the end of the night. All proceeds benefit ESGR. Heritage Federal Credit Union is also participating as a sponsor. First pitch is 6:35 pm CDT.
Saturday, June 14 is Evansville Teacher’s Federal Credit Union Night. It is also Flag Day and Frontier League Flag Chairman Marvin Gray will be in attendance for the Otters game that night. The contest will begin at 6:35 pm CDT.
The homestand comes to an end on Sunday, June 15 with Deaconess Strike Out Stroke Night. A Deaconess Air Evac Helicopter will be landing on the field before the game to deliver the first pitch. It is also Father’s Day and all dads will receive free admission to the game. A social media promotion will also give a few fathers the once in a lifetime opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the game. Fans can look for this promotion on the team’s twitter and Facebook accounts on Friday morning. Lastly, it is also Selfie Sunday. Fans are encouraged to take selfies, just like the players on the team, and tweet them to the Evansville Otters. The best Otters Sunday Selfies will appear on the team website and Facebook page. First pitch is 5:05 pm CDT on Sunday.
