Joliet, IL – The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy announced today that Dickey Betts will perform at Silver Cross Field on Saturday, August 16th at 8:00pm. Betts is a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Grammy Award winner, and former member of The Allman Brothers Band. He is recognized as one of the greatest rock guitar players of all time. Betts will play with his long-time backing band, Great Southern, which includes his son Duane. Opening for Betts in Joliet will be popular local band, The Righteous Hillbillies. They have become a live favorite at festivals, clubs, and bars throughout the Chicagoland area. The Righteous Hillbillies will also once again play Hopstring Fest at Silver Cross Field this summer, on August 23rd. Previously, the Slammers have announced that singer-songwriter Eric Hutchinson will also play a concert at Silver Cross Field. The Hutchinson concert will take place on Friday, August 15th, one day before Betts. Hutchinson's music is a combination of rock and folk pop. He has toured with OneRepublic, Kelly Clarkson, and Jason Mraz. Hutchinson's third studio album, Pure Fiction, was released this April. Tickets for the concerts start at $19.50 for stadium bowl seating, $29.50 for field GA, and $39.50 for on-field reserved seating. A limited number of front row tickets - including a Meet and Greet with Eric Hutchinson - are available for the Friday show for $99.50. VIP tickets for first four rows of the Dickey Betts concert on Saturday are available for $59.50.
